Jesse "Butch" Williams

September 26, 1948 — March 5, 2017

Jesse Eugene “Butch” Williams of DeSoto, Missouri was born on September 26, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri a son of the late, Jesse Williams and the late, Jean (Gunnett) Williams. “Butch” departed this life on March 5, 2017 at the Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-eight years, five months and seven days.

“Butch” was united in marriage to Rashel Oligschlaeger on September 29, 1979 in Salem, Missouri and were blessed with three children.

He is survived by his loving with Shelly Williams of DeSoto, Missouri; one daughter, Shannon BriAnn Hernandez and husband, Rudy of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two sons, Shane Ethan Williams and wife, Dana of Hillsboro, Missouri; Brody Nicholas Williams and wife, Danielle of Imperial, Missouri; two brothers, Lance Bounds and wife, Patricia of St. Louis, Missouri; Johnny Wade Bounds of St. Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren: Mackenzie, Ryker, Brielle, Gage, Louie and J.J.; also surviving are many other relatives and dear and special friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Franks Williams, David “Dub” Bounds, Tony Bounds and Bob Bounds.

“Butch” loved life and was always ready to spend time with his family and friends having fun and grilling. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. #2218. He enjoyed going on bicycle rides, cutting and burning hickory and talking to the hickory gods. “Butch” tolerated Shelly’s dogs but most of all loved watching his grandchildren in sports and other activities. Butch will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Memorial visitation was held Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 3:30 PM until a Celebration of Life Service was held at 7:30 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

Memorials are to be directed to the National Kidney Foundation in Memory of “Butch”.
