John Matthew Watson of Washington, Missouri was born on November 19, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri. A son of the late, Janette (Williams) Nester and the late, John Kenneth Watson. John departed this life on June 23, 2017 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-years, seven months and four days.
John is survived by two sisters, Cindy Murray and husband, Patrick of Villa Ridge, Missouri; Mary Campbell and husband, Robert of Washington, Missouri; two brothers, David Berry of Hannibal, Missouri; Richard Berry of Mountain Home, Arkansas; also surviving are other relatives and many friends.
John was the owner and operator of Crossroads Corner in Salem, Missouri. He had a great love for the outdoors, exploring caves, attending Pow Wows and was known as a naturalist. John enjoyed attending concerts and had worked for many different bands through the years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Larry Sellers and officiating assisted by Jim Horton at the Horton Family Cemetery in Shirley, Missouri.
Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
