Ginny Bone

September 26, 1940 — August 12, 2025

Ginny Bone, a cherished soul whose loving spirit impacted all who knew her, passed away on August 12, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on September 26, 1940, in Old Mines, Missouri, Ginny was a constant beacon of kindness and warmth, devoted to her family and deeply passionate about her faith and the wonders of nature.

Throughout her life, Ginny embraced her role as a loving aunt, offering guidance and support to her many nieces and nephews. Her devotion to her family was evident in her every action; she took delight in cooking for them and ensured their homes were filled with love and laughter. A member of the Incarnate Word Association and the Botanical Garden, her love of the outdoors was reflected in her daily walks in the park, where she reveled in the beauty of nature and marveled at the vibrant cardinal birds that graced her surroundings.

A woman of faith, Ginny's heart was steadfastly planted in her beliefs. She found joy in sharing Jesus with others and dedicated herself to praying for and with her loved ones. Her devotion extended to the Blessed Mother and the Holy Eucharist, elements that surrounded her with comfort and peace throughout her life. Whether it was spending time fishing on Lake Taneycomo and enjoying vacations in the charming town of Branson, Missouri, Ginny's zest for life was evident through her boundless energy and spark for adventure.

Ginny’s legacy will continue through her beloved siblings: Tom Bone and wife Wanda of Festus, Nancy Politte of Old Mines, Joe Bone and wife Joanne of Hillsboro, Paul Bone and wife Brenda of Hillsboro, Laney Portell and husband Bill of Old Mines, Trish Boyer and husband Don of Old Mines, and Peg Portell and husband Ken of Old Mines. She also leaves behind her dear brother-in-law, Lawrance Govero of Old Mines, sister-in-law, Ruth Bone of South Carolina, alongside numerous relatives and cherished friends who will forever hold her memory dear.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Catherine (Paul) Bone and Jessie E. Bone; her siblings, Bill Bone, Kenny Bone and wife Pat; sister, Janet Govero, along with her brother-in-law, Ed Politte.

As we mourn the loss of Ginny, we are reminded of the endless love she shared. May we find solace in the ways she touched our lives with her grace, kindness, and a love that was truly boundless.
