Ronald Thebeau, lovingly known by friends and family as "Silver Fox", passed away on July 31, 2026, leaving behind countless memories and a zest for life. Born on July 7, 1944, in Cadet, Missouri, Ronald touched the lives of all who knew him through his unwavering generosity and his unique ability to make everyone feel cherished often parting with his saying “hugs and kisses,” regardless of who you were.

Those closest to Ronald knew him as the “Silver Fox.” He served in the United States Army from 1967-1969. He loved motorcycles and rode his Harley with true freedom, often seen cruising the scenic roads around Cadet. His passion for classic cars led him to countless car shows, where he displayed his prized vehicles with the same pride he carried into every facet of his life. Always a collector, Ronald delighted in searching for antiques each piece a story, each find a tribute to his appreciation for history.

Wrestling matches brought Ronald joy, and he rarely missed a match, often in the company of friends and family, which meant the world to him. Time spent with loved ones was his truest treasure.

Ronald’s life was marked above all by the deep bonds he fostered with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Ona Johnston and her husband, Steven, as well as his cherished grandchild, Chase Janis. His loving sister, Antoinette Loyd, and caring sister-in-law, Sandy Thebeau, also survive him.

He joins in eternal rest his parents, Genevieve and Stanley Thebeau; his brothers, Leroy, James, and Gary Thebeau; his sister, Beverly Thebeau; and his brother-in-law, Carroll Dean Loyd. He is also preceded by his grandparents, Willis and Martha Jane Semar Thebeau, James and Sophia Pashia, and by his dear friend David Coleman.

His legacy is one of kindness, strength, and joy in life’s everyday connections. His simple message of “hugs and kisses” will forever echo in the hearts of those privileged to know him.

Arrangements are being handled by Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, MO where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Funeral services will be at Moore Funeral Home at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Interment will be at St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, MO.
