KENNY "WOMPER" REANDO JR.
KENNY "WOMPER" REANDO JR. OF CADET, MO WAS BORN AT FESTUS, MO ON JUNE 28, 1970. HE WAS THE SON OF KENNY REANDO SR. OF CADET, AND LINDA (POLITTE) REANDO OF CADET. KENNY DEPARTED THIS LIFE AS A RESULT OF AN ACCIDENT IN CADET, MO ON NOVEMBER 7, 2000 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF THIRTY YEARS, FOUR MONTHS, AND TEN DAYS.
HE IS SURVIVED HIS MOTHER LINDA (POLITTE) REANDO AND FATHER KENNY REANDO SR.AND WIFE ELLA REANDO; ONE SON, JUSTIN ECKHOFF OF POTOSI; TWO DAUGHTERS HEATHER NICOLE REANDO OF POTOSI, SIERRA DAWN REANDO OF POTOSI; ONE STEP SISTER, MELISSA THEBEAU OF CADET; HIS FIANCÉ PEGGY MARIE PORTELL OF POTOSI; MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER HELEN SAMPSON AND HUSBAND PAUL OF BLACKWELL; PATERNAL GRANDMOTHER VIRGINIA REANDO OF CADET; MATERNAL STEP GRANDMOTHER DELORES POLITTE OF DESOTO; MATERNAL GREAT GRANDMOTHER LILLIAN MILLER OF BLACKWELL; MATERNAL STEP GREAT GRANDMOTHER ETHEL MAE MARTIN OF DESOTO; AND MANY AUNTS, UNCLES, NIECES, NEPHEWS AND OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.
KENNY WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS MATERNAL GRANDFATHER JOHN W. POLITTE JR. AND HIS PATERNAL GRANDFATHER WALTER REANDO.
KENNY, KNOWN BETTER AS "WOMPER" BY HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS LOVED SPENDING TIME WITH HIS CHILDREN. HE ENJOYED HORSEBACK RIDING WITH THEM AND HIS DAD. HIS LOVE FOR THE OUTDOORS WAS SHOWN BY HIS ENJOYMENT OF COON HUNTING WITH HIS FRIENDS. THE ART OF COON HUNTING WAS TAUGHT TO WOMPER BY HIS UNCLE CHEROKEE AT THE EARLY AGE OF FOUR. WOMPER ALWAYS DREAMED OF HAVING HIS OWN KENNEL TO RAISE PRIZE COON HOUNDS THAT HE COULD TRAIN AS HE DID HIS VERY FAVORITE DOG, CRY BABY. ANOTHER JOY, OF WOMPER'S, WAS TIME SPENT PLAYING CHESS.
VISITATION WAS HELD FROM 5:00 PM TO 9:00 PM ON NOVEMBER 9, 2000 AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WAS CONDUCTED AT 10:00 AM ON NOVEMBER 10, 2000 AT MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN ST. JOACHIM CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE KENNY REANDO, SR., MARK LAWSON, PAUL RATLIFF, JERRY DALE PORTELL, PHILLIP PORTELL, MICHAEL PICKETT, JOHN COOPER, JOHN POLITTE.
