Randy Taylor, born on October 16, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on July 26, 2026, having reached the age of 69 years, leaving behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and enduring love for his family and friends.

Randy embraced life wholeheartedly, always eager to spend time with those he cared about. His sense of humor and welcoming presence enriched every gathering, making memories that will be cherished for years to come. After graduating high school, Randy answered the call to serve his country and entered the United States Navy. From 1976 to 1982, he distinguished himself with honor, contributing to the proud tradition of military service and embodying values of dedication, discipline, and loyalty.

Randy was a man of many interests and talents. He was an avid golfer and spent countless joyful hours on the green with friends. Pro Frisbee Golf also brought him much satisfaction, combining his love of sport and camaraderie. Randy’s enthusiasm for games didn’t end there—he was a passionate dart player and shared this love as President of the South Bay San Diego Dart Association, where he fostered fellowship and friendly competition among its members. The great outdoors called to him as well, and Randy found peace and adventure in hunting, fishing, and camping, often sharing these pursuits with family and loved ones.

Family was at the heart of everything Randy did. On November 18, 2007, he was united in marriage to Brenda (Parkinson) Taylor. Together, they shared 18 wonderful years, marked by deep companionship, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Taylor, and his children, Aaron Taylor and Walter Taylor; sisters, Sandra Bachesta and Deborah Pierce and her husband Dennis, as well as niece Rebecca Hill (John Luebbers) in addition to many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear and special friends. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Bobbie Taylor; his sister, Pamela Hill; and his brother-in-law, Edward Bachesta.

Randy will be remembered for his joyful spirit, his passion for life’s simplest pleasures, and, above all, his unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Randy’s famous saying was “I smoked when I worked, I smoked when I played, I kept on smoking so here I lay.” His memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
