Phyllis Louise Merkel

Phyllis Louise Merkel, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on September 12, 1945, Phyllis was known for her loving, kind, and caring nature. Her genuine compassion for others was reflected in her thoughtfulness and the prayers she carried for those around her.

Phyllis is survived by her devoted husband, Loren Merkel, who shared many years of love and partnership with her. She was a cherished mother to her son, Brian Merkel of Potosi, MO, and a proud grandmother to her grandchild, Gunner Merkel. Phyllis’s warmth and nurturing spirit will forever serve as a guiding light in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Della (Gent) Ullrick and William Ullrick, who played integral roles in shaping the compassionate individual Phyllis became.

Phyllis's legacy of love and kindness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She touched countless hearts and will be deeply missed by her family and those fortunate enough to have been part of her life.
