Patricia Ann Emily, lovingly known as Pat, departed this life on Thursday, August 6th, 2026, at her residence in Cadet, Missouri, having reached the age of sixty-eight. Pat was born on November 28th, 1957, in Festus, Missouri, a daughter to the late Edward Vernon Coleman Jr. and Bertis Jean (Pipkins) Coleman. Pat will be remembered best for her strong-willed spirit, and willingness to do anything for anyone she loved.

On May 10th, 1986, Pat was united in marriage to Joseph Richard “Rick” Emily, Jr. in St. Louis, Missouri. Their marriage blossomed over the next 40 years creating countless memories and happily raising their children. In total, they shared 51 years together. Their marriage became the root of a tree that would later blossom. Pat’s commitment to her family was the cornerstone of her life, she enjoyed every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Pat enjoyed several hobbies and the company of people. She found joy in baking, sewing, crocheting, making jewelry and working with plastic canvas. She loved to gamble, whether it was a trip with her family to the casino, bingo, or stopping for scratchers anywhere she could, she always had a “lucky touch”. Pat never met a stranger; she loved to talk to people, never too busy to start a conversation. She truly lived for others, and everything she did, she did with her whole heart. Pat’s family was her whole heart and her biggest motivator. Pat was one of seven children, she enjoyed having her siblings as her lifelong friends.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Joseph “Rick” Emily, Jr.; daughter, Tanya Coleman and wife Shelby; son, James Emily and wife Sheila; twelve grandchildren, Gracie, Trenton, Jolene, Jayden, Zackery, Harlee, Mercedes, Keely, Kielan, Natalie, Tina, and Brooklyn; six great grandchildren, Vaila, Walker, Ella, Siraiya, Killua, and Kiara; sister, Mary Goodwin; sisters- in- law, Diane Coleman, Christine Ketcherside, Carla Emily, Phyllis Hobson, and Ginger Emily; Brothers- in- law, Chico Emily, Brad Ketcherside and Rick Norman in addition to many other special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends all whom Pat held close to her heart.

Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Bertis Jean (Pipkins) Coleman; Father, Edward Vernon Coleman Jr.; sister Dorothy Latham; brothers, James “Jim” Coleman, Jerry Coleman, Edward “Eddy” Coleman III, and Ronnie Coleman; niece, Tracy Latham; nephews, Leon “Dude” Latham and Dale Allen; mother in law, Nora Emily; father in law, Joseph “Duggy” Emily; sister in law, Barbara “Barb” Coleman; brothers- in- laws, Homer Emily, Robbie Hobson, Leon Latham, and Leon Goodwin.

Pat’s life was a testament to the strength of family bonds. Her dedication to others, kindness, curiosity, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
