Patricia "Pat" Graves

June 6, 1935 — August 16, 2025

Patricia "Pat" Graves, born on June 6, 1935, in Potosi, Missouri, passed away on August 16, 2025, surrounded by her cherished family. Pat lived a life that epitomized generosity and devotion, always selflessly prioritizing the needs of others over her own. Her unwavering spirit and loving nature formed the foundation of a family centered around kindness and togetherness.

On March 3, 1954, Pat was united in marriage to Murlin "Bud" Graves. Together, they shared 47 joyful years, filled with laughter, love, and warmth before Bud's passing in 2001. Their bond was a guiding light in Pat's life, one that she carried with her in heart and memory.

Family was Pat’s greatest treasure. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Susan Holt, and her devoted son, Eddie Graves, along with his wife, Elise, her daughter-in-law, Darlene Graves, sister, Ruth Compton and sister-in-law, Janet Franklin. Pat was surrounded by the laughter and joy of her grandchildren: Edward "Little Ed," Murlin (Jennifer), Lora (Trent), Katie (Joey), Zach (Lacey), Aaron, Haley (Sandro), Nick (Olenka), Jared (Kali), Jamie (Tonya), Ashley (Matt), and Amber (Tony). Her legacy continues to blossom through her 19 great-grandchildren, whose lives she adored and poured her love into. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous dear friends who experienced her warmth and compassion.

Pat's personality shone bright with her love for spending time with family. She delighted in caring for others and had a special affection for her pets, including her beloved dog, Max, and her many cats. Wednesdays were dedicated to her favorite pastime — scratch-off lottery tickets — shared with close friends Erlene Coleman and Dana Rousan. These moments of joy reflected her unyielding spirit, weaving her connections tighter with cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Murlin "Bud" Graves; her daughter, Lisa Graves; her son, Jeff Graves; her parents, Vivian (Higgenbotham) Franklin and John Edward Franklin; her brothers, James and Dale Franklin, dear sisters, Juanita Cole and Judith Gilliam; brothers-in-law, Alva Gillam and Elder Leonard Compton. Their spirits will forever reside in the hearts of those who remember the bonds of love they shared.

Pat leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate through the many memories of those who were lucky enough to know her. Her life was a testament to the beauty of kindness, and her memory will forever warm the hearts of her family and friends.
