Molly Ann Richeson Veitch

    Molly Ann Richeson Veitch, aged 79 years, of Potosi, MO and longtime resident of Dallas, TX, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Fort Walton Beach, FL. She was born November 26, 1943 in Carthage, MO, the daughter of Edward Stephen (Cy) Richeson and Martha Lydia Phillips Richeson of Potosi, MO.  Molly was married June 4, 1965 to David Ellis Veitch, Jr in Tokyo Japan, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2000 in Dallas, TX.

    Molly graduated high school in 1960 from the American School in Japan and graduated college from Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO.  Molly went on to work at the clerk of courts in Springfield, MO and then moved to Dallas, TX and enjoyed an extensive career working in Family Law for many decades.  Molly also enjoyed gardening, the symphony, traveling, taking her grandchildren to museums and gardens and playing cards with friends and family.   

    Molly was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother; Charles Phillips Richeson of Jefferson City, MO.  Survivors include: two sons, Daniel A Veitch (Kerri) of Hobe Sound, FL, Edward Stephen (Steve) Veitch (Indira) of Mary Esther, FL.  Niece and nephews McGready L. Richeson (Leigh Ann Schell) of New Orleans, LA, Samuel R. Richeson (Kelsey) of West Des Moines, IA and Rebecca P. Unterriker (Uli) of Appleton, WI; grand children, Nick Veitch, Sam Veitch, Devyn Veitch, Nathan Veitch. Grand nieces and newhews, Alexander Unterriker, Cy Richeson, Behrens Richeson, Dominic Unterriker, Wilhelmina Richeson, Eleanor Richeson, Kinsey Schell, Caroline Schell and Clayton Schell.

    Graveside services will be held at the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, MO at time to be determined. Final arrangements are under the direction of Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Planet Indonesia, an organization founded by Phil and Marsha Richeson's great-nephew, Adam Miller, helping rural communities achieve sustainable development through nature conservation. Additional suggestions for contributions include the Humane Society of the U.S. and the ACLU of Missouri.
