Mark Steven Walton, known affectionately as "Bullett," passed away on March 21st, 2026. Born on July 19th, 1954, in Potosi, Missouri, Mark lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and a profound love for his family.

Mark proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976, a testament to his commitment and sense of duty. Throughout his life, he remained a steadfast supporter and beloved presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He cherished spending time watching his kids engage in sports and enjoyed the company of friends and family, creating lasting memories with those he held dear.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Jasmine Coffey and her husband Randy, of Arizona; his three sons: Derek Walton and his wife Andrea of Potosi, Missouri; Marcus Walton and his wife Kate of Chesterfield, Missouri; and Brett Walton and his wife Lavonya of Kansas City, Missouri and life partner, Denise Walton. Mark’s family circle also includes three sisters: Francine Reid and her husband Larry of Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Marva Johnson of Kirksville, Missouri; and Estella “Candi” Johnson of Mineral Point, Missouri. Additionally, he is survived by three brothers: Marvin “Mikie” Johnson of Potosi, Missouri; Marvin “Boomer” Johnson of Kirksville, Missouri; and John Patrick Johnson of Indiana.

Mark was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mary Marie Walton and Marvin Johnson.

Throughout his life, Mark embodied the values of perseverance. His memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew him, a legacy of a hard worker who valued his loved ones above all else. His family, friends, and community mourn the loss of a remarkable man whose life was lived with purpose and genuine affection for those around him.

Visitation for Mark was held on Saturday April 18th, at 10:00AM at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, MO, with the funeral service to follow at 1PM at the same location. Burial and final prayers for Mark were held at the Calvary Cemetery in Potosi, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Derek Walton, Marcus Walton, Brett Walton, and Simon McCloud. All services were under the direction and care of Moore Funeral Home.
