NAOMI LOU LITTON OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN MARCH 20, 1948, IN HERCULANEUM, MISSOURI, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE ROBERT AND VIRGIE MYRTLE (BOUSE) HIGGINS. NAOMI DEPARTED THIS LIFE SUDDENLY ON APRIL 7, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF FIFTY-TWO YEARS AND EIGHTEEN DAYS.
NAOMI WAS UNITED TO THE LATE MARTIN EDWARD LITTON, SR. ON AUGUST 13, 1966, IN POTOSI, MISSOURI, AND TO THIS UNION FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN.
NAOMI IS SURVIVED BY TWO SONS, MARTIN EDWARD LITTON, JR. AND WIFE DEBBIE OF POTOSI, SCOTT LITTON OF POTOSI, TWO DAUGHTERS, CAROL ANN BODIMER AND SPECIAL FRIEND JIM MEDER OF FREDERICKTOWN, HOPE ELAINE FINLEY AND HUSBAND NATHAN OF POTOSI, SIX GRANDCHILDREN, TWO BROTHERS, ROBERT HIGGINS AND WIFE DARLENE OF FORISTELL, MIKE CONLEY OF O'FALLON, THREE SISTERS, CAROLYN RICHARDS OF SPRING VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, BARBARA HOLMES OF POTOSI, NORMA BATTREAL OF PORTSMITH, VIRGINIA, ONE SISTER-IN- LAW, HATTY BERGNER OF CADET, A SPECIAL FRIEND, WILFORD "TEET" THEBEAU OF POTOSI AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER SPOUSE AND PARENTS SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SISTER, VELMA HIGGINS.
NAOMI ENJOYED SPENDING TIME PLAYING BINGO, GOLF AND BOWLING ON THE REDWING TEAM WITH ALL HER FRIENDS. SHE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR BOTH FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND CHERISHED THE TIME SPENT WITH EACH OF HER GRANDCHILDREN. NAOMI WAS ALWAYS READY TO GO VISIT HER MANY FRIENDS AT ANY TIME.
VISITATION WAS HELD MONDAY, APRIL 10, 2000, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED TUESDAY, APRIL 11, 2000, AT 1:00 P.M., AT THE CHAPEL WITH ELDER LEONARD COMPTON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN REDBUD MEMORIAL GARDENS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, JOHNNY AYRES, GORDEN LITTON, STEVE BROWN, BUCKSHOT EAST, JOE LITTON AND JIM LANDS. SERVING AS HONORARY PALLBEARERS WERE, KENNY HIGGINS, BRUCE HIGGINS, JOHN BATTREAL, MIKE CONLEY, JR. AND JIM MEDER.
