Helen Mary (Valle) Boyster, a beloved mother, grandmother, and pillar of faith, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, at the remarkable age of 100. Though she spent her final years residing in Indiana, her heart and legacy remained deeply rooted in Richwoods, Missouri, the community she served for so long.
Born on February 20, 1926, in Bliss, MO, to Francis and Edith (Courtway) Valle, Helen witnessed an extraordinary century of history, navigating the world with a gentle strength. For the past 12 years, she faced the profound challenges of dementia with grace and an enduring spirit. While the illness slowly faded her memories, it could never dim the beautiful imprint she left on the hearts of those who loved her.
Helen’s life was deeply rooted in her unwavering faith and love for her cherished family. Guided by her profound love for God, she lived each day with devotion. For many years, she served her local parish priest with heartfelt reverence, bringing grace to every aspect of her work.
She was an avid gardener and an exceptional cook. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of homemade meals. She was known for her hospitality and willingness to help others; she loved to host barbecues and help plan family reunions. She was happiest when her yard and home were full of family and friends.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Kathryn Lee-Kalsch and the compassionate staff at Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehab for their exceptional care, kindness, and dedication to her comfort and dignity throughout her final years. Deepest appreciation as well to Charles Ford Hospice In Harmony for the care they gave in her final days.
She is survived by her loving son Glenn (Michele) Boyster, her cherished grandchildren, Jesseca Boyster, Doug (Mary) DiNatale, Joe (Joan) DiNatale, Tracee DiNatale, Sheri (Jim) Godat, Gail Hayes, Kelly (Myra) Boyster, sister-In-law Alta Valle, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
