George Stephen Lalumondiere

   George Stephen Lalumondiere, a hard-working individual, passed away on April 20, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born on September 23, 1936, in Potosi, Missouri, George valiantly served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1967, a period that he held dear to his heart. George was united in marriage to Mary Bess (Farrow) Lalumondiere on January 7, 1956 and they happily shared 67 years together. 

   George's proudest accomplishment was being a father. Family meant everything to him, and he found joy in attending mass at St. James Catholic Church and actively participating in church activities such as the Lenten fish fries. His hobbies included spending quality time with his loved ones, cherishing every moment shared together, hunting and fishing. George was a life member of the VFW Post #6996.

   In the company of his deceased loved ones who passed before him, his mother and father Theresa (DeClue) Lalumondiere and Festus Lalumondiere, sisters Catherine (Dan) Boyer, Edith (Calvin) Bailey, Rose (Leon) Thiel, Helen Francis; brother, David (Sharon) Lalumondiere  daughter-in-law Virginia Lalumondiere, as well as sisters-in-law Curtis Skaggs and Shirley McConnell. 

   George is survived by his son Stephen Lalumondiere; brother Joe Lalumondiere; sister-in-law Jeannie Skaggs; brother-in-law Perry Farrow and wife Glenda; brother-in-law Duke McConnell; special friend, Kathy O’Neail along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Their hearts are heavy with grief at the loss of such a kind soul.

   George will forever be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and his commitment to serving his country with pride. May his soul find eternal peace as we cherish the memories he has left us with.
