Floyd Wayne Stringer

March 26, 1951 — May 13, 2024

Floyd Wayne Stringer, lovingly known by Wayne, passed away on May 13, 2024. Wayne was born on March 26, 1951, in Mineral Point, Missouri, a son to the late Floyd Clinton Stringer and Hazel (LaChance) Stringer.

Wayne lived a full life and before he passed he made sure his family knew that he was happy with the life he had. He was a hard worker and always made sure his family was taken care of first but was always helping others in need as well. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting and playing softball. In retirement, he found a new hobby in raising birds. His birds were like children to him and Michele and Dennis would often joke that he treated his birds better than he did his own children. He loved watching tv and became a huge fan of YouTube and would watch it for hours and hours. He was a man of his word with a great work ethic who loved his family deeply. He has definitely left a legacy that his children, grandchildren and other loved ones who are left behind can truly be proud of.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beverly Stringer, as well as his sisters Glenda Brewer and Rita Pruitt, sister-in-law Debbie Stringer, and brothers-in-law Larry Rawlins and Roger Lashley.

He is survived by a loving family who will miss him dearly. His daughter Michele Thomas and her husband Les of Mineral Point, MO; son Dennis Stringer and his wife Amy of Mineral Point, MO; sisters Connie Bradley and her husband Danny of Hopewell, MO, Diana Rawlins of Potosi, MO, Betty Lashley of Leadwood, MO; brothers Virgil Barron and his wife Marie of Stoney Point, MO, Chris Stringer of Hopewell, MO; grandchildren Clint and wife Lindsey Thomas, Mikayla and husband Reverend Trevor Kean , Tanaya and husband Kalob Stephens , Andrew and wife Carli Thomas; great-grandchildren Jase, Aubrianna, Addilynn, Jordyn, Anniston, Brynnlee, Avenn, Landon and Amiee.

Wayne will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
