Edna Marie (Robart) Merseal

August 21, 1932 — November 19, 2025

Edna Marie (Robart) Merseal, a beloved matriarch and pillar of her community, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on August 21, 1932, in Cadet, Missouri, Edna lived a life rich in love, faith, and cherished memories, leaving a legacy that will be remembered for generations.

A strong woman of faith, Edna devoted her life to caring for others and was known for keeping her family and friends in her thoughts and prayers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her nurturing spirit was exemplified through her many hobbies and interests. Edna found joy in splitting wood, cooking on her wood stove until the age of 89, and square dancing. She cherished her time spent outdoors, whether it was hunting mushrooms or tending to her garden and farm. Listening to country music and JOY FM Radio, along with popping beans and shucking corn, were among the simple pleasures that brought her great happiness. Most importantly, Edna loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Edna is survived by her devoted children: daughter Susan Heuer and her husband Henry, daughter Linda Ann Coleman, son Jim Merseal and his wife Angie, and daughter Cindy Goff and her husband Joe. She was a proud grandmother to Tina (Don) Thurman, Steve Heuer, Jennifer (Tony) Boyster, Suzanne (Justin) Merklin, James Coleman, Andrew (Jennifer) Coleman, Robert (Tonya) Coleman, Anthony (Erin) Merseal, Scott (Marie) Merseal, Billy (Jen) Tidwell, Jeremy Tidwell, and Brian Goff. In addition to her immediate family, Edna is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lucille "Girly" Guenther, many great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her gentle presence.

Edna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James William Merseal. They were united in marriage on May 27, 1950, and shared many wonderful memories together. Edna was also preceded in death by her parents, Rosella (Thebeau) Robart and Paul Robart; her brothers, Lloyd, Daley, and Ivan Robart; her sisters, Bertha Ross, Lucy Sutton, and Cynthia Portell; as well as her grandchildren, Ted William Heuer and Matthew Vincent Goff.

Edna leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
