Deborah "Debbie" Eye

August 22, 1957 — May 3, 2024

   Deborah "Debbie" Eye, a cherished member of the community, passed away on May 3, 2024. Debbie was born on August 22, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri. Throughout her life, she made significant contributions both professionally and personally.

   In her career, Debbie dedicated 23 years to the Washington County Ambulance District and another 17 years to Rawlings Sporting Goods. Her commitment to serving others extended beyond the workplace, as she was known for her kindness and caring nature. Debbie's proudest accomplishments included her unwavering love for helping people and her community.

   Described as fun-loving, adventurous, loving, kind, and caring. She especially treasured attending Balloon races with her grandchildren and embarking on trips to San Francisco and Reno.

   Debbie will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary F. Canepari, father, Joseph Canepari and step-son, John Eye/ 

   Debbie is survived by her loving husband Allen Eye. She also leaves behind two sons: Craig Courtaway (April) of Galatia, IL; Jordan Courtaway (Kristine) of Farmington, MO; stepsons: Brian Eye, Shawn Eye (Betty); one sister JoAnn Huff (William) of Newberg, IN; three brothers: John Canepari (Florence) of Cartledge, MO; Stephen Canepari (Dosella) of Owensville, KY; Michael Canepari of Bonne Terre, MO.

   Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kyle, Evan, Sky, Beau, Cheyenne, Angel, Joseph, Jayden, Michael, Sierra and great-grandchild, Gabriel.

   A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Debbie's life will be held on May 11th at White Oak Grove Cemetery in Potosi, Missouri at 10:00 AM.

   Debbie's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her compassionate spirit and the impact she made in the lives of many.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at 270 Peachtree St Ste 1300, Atlanta, GA 30303, USA.
