Betty Lou Combs of Ironton was born February 5, 1956 in Hot Springs, Arkansas a daughter to the late James Fred Farber and Daisy Arlene Dempsy. Betty departed this life Sunday, December 12, 2021 having reached the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 7 days.
Betty is survived by her fiancé, Gary Emily of Ironton; daughter, Sheila Schanuth and husband James of Florissant, Missouri; sons, Michael Simpson of Potosi, Keith Robbins of Ironton; step children, Bettyjo Madonna, Sherry Maynard, Stace Marie, Ben Combs, Phillip Simpson; 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many other relatives and dear and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Simpson.
Betty had a heart of gold and loved to help people. That love extended into her work as a CNA. She worked as a CNA for 45 years. She had a gift for painting and crafting, using those talents to make gifts for others. She also loved to bake and cook for her entire family. Time with her family was very precious to her and she soaked in all the love from her children and grandchildren that she could. She would do anything for anybody and never asked for anything in return. She will be missed and her loving heart and kindness will never be forgotten.
