CECELIA VICTORIA "TINY" COLEMAN
CECELIA V. COLEMAN OF POTOSI, MO, WAS BORN AT SILICA, MO, ON MARCH 30, 1915. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE WILLIS AND ROSIE (BOYER) BOYER. CECELIA DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT GEORGIAN GARDENS NURSING HOME IN POTOSI, MO, ON DECEMBER 10, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY FIVE YEARS EIGHT MONTHS AND TEN DAYS.
MRS. COLEMAN WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO MELVIN COLEMAN AND EIGHT CHILDREN WERE BORN TO THIS UNION. MELVIN PRECEDED CECELIA IN DEATH ON MAY 4, 1976.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY ONE SON; EARL COLEMAN OF TIFF, SIX DAUGHTERS; WANDA RODERIQUE AND HUSBAND EDWARD OF WASHINGTON, BARBARA COLEMAN OF TIFF, PATRICIA POLLOCK AND HUSBAND RALPH OF FLORISSANT, DELORES COLEMAN OF FERGUSON, ROBERTA COLEMAN OF FERGUSON, AND YVONNE NASH AND HUSBAND NORMAN OF PARK HILLS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND HUSBAND SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER SON, ROBERT COLEMAN, FOUR SISTERS, FLORENCE TODD, AURELIA BOYER, SISTER MARY HERMAN, MARGARITE BOYER AND ONE BROTHER FRANK BOYER.
CECEILA, BETTER KNOWN AS "TINY", BY HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS WAS FIRST AND FOREMOST A VERY LOVING AND DEDICATED MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER. TINY WAS DEDICATED TO HER FAITH AND HER BELIEF IN GOD AND WAS A LONG TIME MEMBER OF ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH IN TIFF, MO. SHE WAS VERY PROUD OF HER FRENCH HERITAGE AND ENJOYED SHARING HER VAST KNOWLEDGE ABOUT IT WITH HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS. HER WONDERFUL SMILE AND KIND WORDS WERE ALWAYS READY FOR THOSE SHE WOULD VISIT WITH. TINY ENJOYED FLOWER GARDENING AS WELL AS RAISING VEGETABLES WHICH SHE WOULD PROCESS AND CAN. HER HOME WAS ALWAYS OPEN TO CHILDREN OTHER THAN HER OWN AND SOME WOULD SPEND SEVERAL NIGHTS AND WOULD BLEND IN WITH THE REST OF HER FAMILY. HER LOVING MANNER AND KINDNESS TOWARD OTHERS IS THE LEGACY SHE LEAVES BEHIND AND WILL LONG BE REMEMBERED BY ALL WHO WERE PRIVILEGED TO KNOW THIS DEAR LADY.
VISITATION WAS HELD FROM 9:00 AM TO 11:00 AM ON DECEMBER 12, 2000 AT MOORE FUNERAL HOMES IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WAS CONDUCTED AT 11:00 AM ON DECEMBER 12, 2000 AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME WITH FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN ST. JOESPH'S CATHOLIC CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, GREG POLLOCK, DONALD SULLIVAN, MIKE KLEEKAMP, JOHN RODERIQUE, ANDY KNIGHT AND LARRY WICKER.
