Charlotte Lynn Portell

         Charlotte Lynn Portell of Potosi, Missouri was born March 16, 1951 in Potosi, a daughter to the late Donald Neff and Imogene (Wilson) Neff. Charlotte departed this life Wednesday, March 29, 2023 having reached the age of 72 years and 13 days.

          On May 27, 1972 Charlotte was united in marriage to Melvin Portell and they were blessed with 50 wonderful years and four children.

          Those left to cherish her loving memory include her husband Melvin; son, Melvin Portell, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Melissa Jones and husband Edward of Cadet, Missouri, Mendy Portell and husband Michael of High Ridge, Missouri, Tina Johnston and husband Timothy Johnston of Cedar Hill, Missouri; sister, Angila DeClue and husband Herman of Blackwell, Missouri; brother, Donald Neff, Jr. of Cadet, Missouri; grandchildren, Jody, Paul, Anthony, Aidan, Micah, Drake; great grandchildren, Gage, Grayson, Adalyn in addition to many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

          Charlotte loved all things bright and colorful. She kept a beautiful garden and grew all types of vibrantly colored flowers that were admired by all who visited her home. She loved her family and loved to spoil her grandchildren. Her memory will be treasured by those who loved her.
