Charles “Charlie” Lee Brown of Irondale, Missouri was born April 20, 1938 in Irondale, Missouri, a son to the late Fred “Buck” Brown and Essie Eva (Stout) Brown. Charlie departed this life Monday, December 7, 2020 having reached the age of 82 years, 7 months and 17 days.
On June 3, 1960, Charlie was united in marriage to Martha (Ives) Brown and together the happily raised their children and shared sixty wonderful years together.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Martha; daughters, Kris Marler and husband (Randy) of Irondale, Missouri, Shannon Strothmann and husband Bob of Bismarck, Missouri; son, David Brown and wife Lynn of Bismarck, Missouri; sisters, Lois Gustafson and husband Leo of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Patricia Wilkinson and husband Jack of St, Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren, Kyle Marler, Megan (Kevin) Torrence, Abby Brown, Alex Brown, Molly Strothman, Ty Strothman; three great grandchildren, Nora, Meredith, Harper and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Charlie loved spending time outdoors, taking care of his home, mowing grass and venturing into the woods to go mushroom hunting. He enjoyed taking car rides, seeing new places and meeting new people. He always made sure his truck was properly maintained. He loved his family and loved to spoil his grandchildren. His love and kindness will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
