Bill Ruble, of Potosi, Missouri, passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on September 7, 1946, in Potosi to Leonard Burt Ruble and Stella Mae (Fulkerson) Ruble, Bill's life was marked by dedication, hard work, and a deep commitment to his family and community.

Bill's career is a testament to his enduring work ethic and perseverance. For 50 years, he drove a truck for Carter Brothers, Proffers Produce, Whirlpool, Pea Ridge, Chrysler, and Roadway, forging a reputation for dependability and professionalism. His exceptional safety record was recognized with numerous achievements, including the Million-Mile Safety Driver designation and a nomination by the Department of Transportation for a Safety Award. These honors reflect not only Bill's devotion to his work but also his unwavering sense of responsibility and care for others on the road.

Nothing, however, brought Bill more joy and pride than his family. He is survived by his wife, of 49 years Betty Ruble, children: Gloria Eckhoff and her husband Jeffrey, Pamela Ward and her husband Shawn, Kenneth Ruble, Robert Ruble and his wife Viola, Stepchildren, Julia Ruble, Jeff Lore, and Jody Lore. His brothers, Johnny Ruble and Tommy Ruble. Bill was a proud grandfather to Kent Bourbon, Owen (Lora) Bourbon, River Bourbon, Trenton (Kayla) Ruble, Micha (Levi) Welch, Avril Ward, Robert (Tera) Ruble, Keisha Ruble, Kayla Lore, and Jeffrey (Alisha) Lore, great-grandchildren Kailee, Noah, Blake, Alivia, Adelina, Stella, Kaley, Michael, Jackson, Kenzley, Bennett, Kolter, Cora, Colton, Weston, Grayson, Korbin, Bentley, Wrenlee, Halston, great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Kayden and great great grandchild, Mahalia.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Burt Ruble and Stella Mae (Fulkerson) Ruble; son, Billy Leonard Ruble; his grandmother and grandfather Dave and Virgie Ruble; his grandparents Fred and Mary Fulkerson, sister, Betty Welker and brother-in-law Jim Welker.

Throughout his life, Bill exemplified qualities of steadfastness, loyalty, and kindness. He built lasting bonds and left a meaningful impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him. His stories will long remain in the hearts of his family and friends. His memory will continue to live on by all who knew him.

Arrangements are being handled by Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, MO where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2026. Funeral services will be at Moore Funeral Home at 6:00 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2026.
