William “Bill” Crippen a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 13, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, Bill touched the lives of many with his artistic and creative spirit, as well as his dedication to hard work.
He proudly served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1976 and earned the National Defense Service Medal, reflecting his commitment to his country. Bill carried out the values he learned during his military service throughout his life, embodying discipline and integrity in all that he did.
An avid lover of music, fishing, and hunting, Bill often found solace and joy in outdoor pursuits. He was also a skilled carpenter, always eager to lend his talents to family and friends. His passion for his hobbies deeply influenced his life, showcasing his artistic nature and hands-on abilities.
Bill is survived by his beloved son, Gabriel Crippen; daughters, Jennifer and Ree-se Yates; sisters, Francine Connor; Janice Reevers; brothers, Michael James Crippen and his wife, Roxanne; Hobi Crippen; and grandchild, Michael Anthony Crippen. He is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews, including Jared and Missy Crippen, Caleb and Kayla Crippen, Kristin and Geoffery Butler, and Ryan Chamberlin, mother of his child, Jenny Yates, and held a special friendship with Jennifer Owens, along with many other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann (Husky) Crippen, and father, Joseph Edward Crippen. Bill’s legacy of hard work, creativity, and love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
