Arlene Boyer, a beacon of love and devotion, departed this life peacefully on October 11, 2025, at the age of 93 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 19, 1932, in Potosi, Missouri, to the late Rolla and Mary Pearl (DeClue) Pashia, her life was a testament to unyielding warmth and cherished family connections.
Arlene embarked on a beautiful journey with her beloved husband, Arthur "King" Boyer, whom she married on May 20, 1950, in Old Mines, Missouri. Together, they created a loving home, filled with laughter and the joyful presence of their family. Arlene's legacy lives on through her five daughters, Geraldine "Gerri" Skiles and husband Eddie of Farmington, MO; Karen Caldwell and husband Rodney of De Soto, MO; Christine Portell and husband Robert of Cadet, MO; Marcia Politte and husband Rick of Cadet, MO; and Melissa Blair and husband Dan of Potosi, MO. She is also survived by five sons, Danny "Tar" Boyer and wife Barb of Old Mines, MO; Willy Boyer and wife Connie of Cadet, MO; Randy Boyer and wife Karla of Saint Charles, MO; Marty Boyer and wife Michelle of Terre Du Lac, MO; and Kevin Boyer and wife Carrie of Blackwell, MO; siblings, Bernard Pashia and wife Linda of Potosi, Helen Brewer of Arnold, MO, Donald Pashia of Potosi, MO, Cecelia Harrison and husband Rich of Arnold, MO, sister-in-law, Dorothy Pashia of Potosi, MO in addition to a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and dear and special friends.
Arlene embraced the role of a mother with unwavering dedication and love. Her family flourished under her nurturing care, with 59 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren, with three more on the way, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
A lifelong member of St. Joachim Catholic Church, Arlene was also active in the St. Anne Sodality, where her faith guided and inspired her throughout her life. Known for her loving spirit and kind heart, she enjoyed reading inspirational books, playing euchre and scrabble, and engaging in lively games of bingo with the rural parish workers. The RFD Channel often provided her with entertainment as she basked in life's simple pleasures.
Arlene is preceded in death by her cherished husband, Arthur, and other beloved family members including her daughter Sharon Boyer, son Richard “RK” Boyer, son-in-law Joe Boyer, brothers and sisters, Ann Marie (Tommy) Roy, Howard (Wanda) Pashia, Ralph (Mert) Pashia, Oscar “Bob” Pashia, Joe (Vella) Pashia, Jack (Mary) Pashia and great-great-grandchild Silas Osia. Their spirits will forever remain in the hearts of all those they touched.
Arlene Boyer was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering family values will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished and celebrated for generations to come.
