Annette Bohn (Riddle)

January 9, 1960 — December 10, 2018

It is with great sadness we announce that Annette (Nettie) Bohn née Riddle, our dear wife, mother, family member and friend, passed away suddenly on December 10, 2018. Nettie grew up in St Louis, graduated from Park's College, and worked at ATT until recently. She is survived by her husband, Paul, her three boys, Jacob, 26 years, Nicky, 25 years, and Danny, 20 yrs, her sister, Susan Garpiel, from Saginaw, Michigan, her brother Timothy Riddle from St. Louis, and her best friends - sisters, Maureen and Maria. Her father, Larry James Riddle, and her mother, Cecilia Louise Riddle, predeceased her. She was a kind, gentle, creative person with a quiet calming voice, and a laugh that made you smile and laugh with her. She was involved in every aspect of raising her sons. She readily planned events so that everyone would have fun, including her annual float trips with her Park's College friends, close friends and family for many years. Her welcoming, compassionate, and witty personality drew people to her. She would become instant friends with anyone she met, made genuine connections with people, and would always volunteer to help anyone in need. It is no surprise that people considered her as a second mother, a sister, and a best friend. Not only were people drawn to her, but she had a calling for animals, caring for many stray cats, dogs, and other creatures who found refuge in her home. Her commitment to living her life on her own terms was admirable; she always beat to the rhythm of her own drum and did things on her own time. Her creativity extended through her annual holiday poems/stories that came with the Christmas cards, and everyone looked forward to them! She loved her concerts, especially venues where Jimmy Griffin (e.g. El Monstero, Petty-Cash Junction) played. – She was his number one fan!! The family wants to thank everyone (particularly Aunt Doris, cousin Michelle, and Aunt Diane who went above and beyond to help us) and for the outpouring of support, prayers, and thoughts during this difficult time. The love and kindness they have received is a testament to how many people she influenced and the kind of person she was. Annette now has the best seat at the heavenly concert with her family and friends. Visitation at Fey Funeral Home on Thursday, December 13 from 4-8 pm and at the Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, MO on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 9:00AM to 10:30AM. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines.
