William Carl Cain

March 10, 1941 — March 23, 2015

William "Billy" Carl Cain of Ironton, Missouri was born Monday, March 10, 1941 in Irondale, Missouri. He was the son of Louise (McIntyre) Province and the late, Ernest William Cain. Billy departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-four years and thirteen days.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Phares) Cain of Ironton, Missouri; daughters, Lea and Bob Hamilton of Park Hills, Missouri; Debra and Ronald Bevington of Leadwood, Missouri; Jo Kohler of Clarksville, Tennessee; sons, Jerry Bergner of Lake Hannah, Missouri; Sam and Kathleen Bergner of Farmington, Missouri; mother, Louise (McIntyre) Province of St. Louis, Missouri; half-sister, Jane and Michael Wood of Columbia, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Grace Burg of Farmington, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his infant son, Billy Gene Cain and one great-grandchild.
Billy always had a green thumb and enjoyed working in his garden, planting flowers and plants. He enjoyed spending time outdoors going hunting, fishing and riding four-wheelers. Most of all Billy loved his family and friends who will all deeply miss him.
Visitation was held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2015 and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 PM on Friday at Moore Memorial Chapel located at 105 Clark Street Potosi, Missouri 63664 with Pastor Brad Asher officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, Caledonia, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Jacob Hathcock, Luke Bevington, Chris Martinez, J.W. Bergner, Eric Phares, Tim Phares and Jon Langenstein.
Moore Funeral Homes was honored to have served Billy, his family and his friends.
